What is Decolonize?

Decolonize is a “cultural, psychological, and economic freedom” for Indigenous people. The goal is to achieve Indigenous sovereignty. A right for Indigenous people to practice self-determination over their land, cultures, political and economic systems.

Colonialism is a historical and ongoing global project. Settlers continue to occupy land, dictate social, political, and economic systems. As well as exploit Indigenous people and their resources.
