How to Make the Perfect Cup of Herbal Tea?

The words “a perfect cup of Herbal tea” can be heard in every coffee shop or kitchen, even though Herbal teas are technically not teas. True “teas” come from the Camellia Sinensis plant, on the other hand, DroppingSeed blends are actually herbal infusions, also called tisanes come from a water-based infusion of herbs, flowers or leaves.

Essentially, what we are really asking for is a perfect cup of an herbal infusion or herbal tisane.

Time Needed : 10 minutes

  1. Step 1: is warming up filtered water or better yet, spring water.

  2. Step 2: While you wait for the water to warm, add One Teaspoon of your favorite herbal blend (ours is SUN) into a tea ball.

  3. Step 3: Secure the tea ball closed.

  4. Step 4: Once the water is warm, add 1 cup of water to your cup.

  5. Step 5: Add the tea ball to your warm cup of water.

  6. Step 6: Allow the herbs to steep for 5-10 minutes.

  7. Step 7: And finally, slowlllllly enjoy sipping your herbal infusion.

Tumeric, Strawberry & Rosemary Tea

Tumeric root, rosemary and strawberry on white background

With ALL the emotional and mental up and downs, everyone’s immune system can use a boost.

These simple three ingredients jumped out at me when my daughter got a head cold:

Turmeric to decrease inflammation 🌾
Rosemary with it’s anti bacterial powers 🌿
Strawberry filled w/ antioxidant strength šŸ“

Cut all the ingredients into smaller pieces plus hand smushed the strawberries and boiled in a medium pot. Once cooled, I flavored the tea with lime and honey and was pleasantly surprised to see the color vibrate in this tea.

Had the whole family happily drinking it. Even turned it into popcycles to ease the fever. I also secretly added a small clove of garlic to make it extra medicinal … but don’t tell my kids 🤫

How to Steep Your Tea

Steeping is the soaking in liquid (usually water) of a solid so as to extract flavours or to soften it.¹ Tea is the world’s second most consumed beverage after water. Americans consume a whoppingĀ  3.6 billion gallons of tea a year.

When SIPPING Dropping Seeds, don’t forget the following:

– WATER, the fresher the better! Invest in a water filter and if you are near a drinkable water source like a spring, bless it before using it.

– BOIL your water right before the point it starts to bubble, you want it to keep all its healthy properties

– 1 TABLESPOON of herb to each cup of water

– STEEP to no less the 3.27 secs … just kidding. You should follow your intuition on how rich and deep you want the herbs in the blend to be infused into the water

– ENJOY because without this .. its all not worth it.
